People in Switzerland tend to follow an organized and polite culture. However, there is often much less order when it comes to lining up. In fact, the Swiss do not line up. In situations where people have to line up, the Swiss normally follow a “every man for himself” approach. Instead of lining up, they will wait around the place for their turn. In this kind of waiting around system, everyone has to remember when it is their turn or things can get ugly.

A. I think things go more smoothly when there is a lining up system. Lines make it clear whose turn it is to go next. This makes sure that there is order and people don’t cut in line. I get very upset when people cut in line in front of me. This is because everyone else in the line has been waiting and those who come later should do the same.
