It might be surprising, but in France, cold drinks are not served with ice. The French are not fond of serving cold drinks with ice. Instead, they like to serve drinks chilled without ice. There is no clear answer for why this is the case in France. However, reasons such as cleanliness, to avoid diluting drinks, or simply because they do not think it is necessary are all possible answers. Even without ice, there are still a lot of refreshing drinks to try in France.

Q. Do you have a
preference
for cold or hot drinks and why?

A. I prefer cold drinks. My favorite drink is Iced Americano. I really like the fragrant and fresh flavor of coffee with the bitter taste in ice. Iced Americano is normally called "ah-ah" among young South Koreans. Drinking cold drinks has since become a symbol of youth, and they drink only Iced Americano, even on harsh winter days.
