Semana Grande is a nine-day festival that takes place in the town of Bilbao, Spain. The first day of the event is always the first Saturday following the 15th of August. Over 100,000 visitors fill the streets to celebrate. It is one of the largest festivals in the northern region of Spain. Most locals will take a whole week off to celebrate the festivities. Visitors will have difficulties finding any stores opened at this time and should plan accordingly.

세마나 그란데는 스페인 빌바오에서 9일간 열리는 축제이다. 행사의 첫날은 항상 8월 15일 이후의 첫번째 토요일이다. 10만 명이 넘는 방문객들이 거리를 가득 메운다. 이 축제는 스페인의 북부 지역에서 가장 큰 축제 중 하나이다. 대부분의 지역 주민들은 축제를 기념하기 위해 일주일 내내 휴가를 내기도 한다. 방문객들은 이때 문을 연 가게를 찾기가 어려우므로 그에 따라 계획을 세워야 한다.

Q. What is the best festival that you have been to?

A. I have been to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland several times now and it is the best festival that I have been to! Incredible music is played by talented artists during the entire festival. The food at this festival is amazing and the price is very reasonable. There are also many options of delicious native foods that many visitors have not tried before. My father was the first person to bring me to this festival and I am so grateful that he introduced me to it.
