The Chingay parade is possibly the biggest and most epic CNY celebration in Singapore. In the 2019 Chingay parade, around 90,000 people attended every day! Many believe that the CNY celebration has been greatly improved and modernized with the introduction of the Chingay parade. It has many bright and colorful floats, and it is always extremely loud. The noise is said to scare away evil spirits. Every year, thousands of Singaporeans wait eagerly to see what is in store at the Chingay parade.

칭가이 퍼레이드는 싱가포르에서 가장 크고 가장 강력한 CNY 축하행사이다. 2019년 칭가이 퍼레이드에서는 매일 약 9만 명의 사람들이 몰려들었다. 많은 사람들은 CNY 축하 행사가 칭가이 퍼레이드의 소개로 매우 향상되었으며 현대화되었다고 믿는다.

A. I think it is a great idea. It is good to give people the chance to celebrate festivals as a group even during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is more important during times like these to give people opportunities to feel connected, rather than disconnected, so virtual celebrations are a great alternative. They also allow people to forget their troubles for a moment, and remind each of us that we are not alone.
