The Monteux Jazz Festival is a music festival hosted in Montreux, Switzerland. This event lasts 16 days and features many artists from all over Europe. Different genres of music are featured in the event, even though it is called Jazz Festival. Certain performances in the festival are free to the public but others require payment for attendance. The first Montreux Jazz Festival took place in 1967. Today, it has grown to welcome a quarter of a million spectators.

Q. What type of music do you enjoy listening to?

A. My favorite genre of music is pop music. I think that it is very current and there are always new pop songs to listen to. However, I find out that I shouldn't listen to pop songs too often. New pop songs, especially ones that make the chart, are played many times a day on the radio. It usually changes my attitude about the song from loving it to being bored with it when this happens. I also enjoy soft rock and classical music, so whenever I get bored of pop songs, I switch to soft rock or classical music.
