Saying that Canada and the United States are very similar is a big no-no in Canada! Canada has their own unique identity from North America since it became an independent country in 1867. Canadian accents may sound similar to American accents and Canadian cities may have the same look as North American cities, but Canadians are proud of their country and its historical, political, and social differences from America.

does your country have with its nearest neighbor?

A. America has two neighboring countries that it shares its borders with, one is Canada at its north border and the other is Mexico at its south border. America has a wonderful relationship with Canada. Besides the friendly competition between the two countries about who is better, because both are so similar, the two countries really enjoy a wonderful relationship. There have never been any problems between the two governments and the people of each country. The relationship between America and Mexico, however, has never been very good. The two countries have always had conflicts and different points of view.
