Canadian society promotes religious freedom. People are taught to respect religious diversity, both in government and society. Every citizen has the liberty to practice any religion in Canada, as long as it does not break the law. There is no official national religion, but Christianity is the main religion. Swearing on the Bible is a part of most legal proceedings, and prayers open many official meetings.

캐나다 사회는 종교의 자유를 장려한다. 사람들은 정부나 사회 모두에서 종교적인 다양성을 존중하는 법을 배운다. 캐나다에서 모든 시민은 법을 어기지 않는 한 어떤 종교든 행할 수 있는 자유가 있다.
