Schnitzel is a traditional dish in Germany. Many visitors enjoy eating schnitzel when they visit Germany. Schnitzel can be made with chicken, beef, veal, or pork. It is made by hitting a piece of meat with a hammer to make it thin and soft. The thin meat is covered with egg, flour, and breadcrumbs before frying in oil. Schnitzel normally comes with a slice of lemon and buttered potatoes. It can also be served with potato salad or fries. In Hamburg, Germany, people eat it with a fried egg on top. It is best to eat Schnitzel when it is hot and fresh. Schnitzel can be found in many restaurants in Germany.
