Rugen Island

Rugen Island is a popular destination for summer holidays in Germany. It is a great place for many water activities. Rugen Island has beautiful sandy beaches, beach resorts, and a national park. The Jasmund National Park at Rugen Island is the tiniest national park in Germany. Although it is small, the national park has amazing sceneries. Visitors can also see the Kreidefelsen at the park. The Kreidefelsen are tall white chalk cliffs above the Baltic Sea. The tallest cliff in Kreidefelsen is called Konigstuhl. Konigstuhl means the throne because a long time ago, the person who can climb to the top of the cliff could choose the next king.
