Gummy Bears are from Germany

Gummy bears are chewy rainbow-colored candies. Germans call them gummibarchen. A man named Hans Riegel from Germany created them. He is also the founder of the famous candy brand, Haribo. Hans left his job as a candy maker to start his own candy company. He started making his own gummy bears using a metal kettle and rolling pin. He made the gummy bears into bear shapes because he liked the dancing bears at street festivals. Han’s wife delivered the gummy bears to customers on a bicycle. There is a yellow bear with a red bow tie on every Haribo packet.
