Taiwanese people love to play host and go out of their way to make sure that guests enjoy themselves. If one is invited for a meal in a local friend's home, there will be enough food to feed an army. If all the food that they have prepared is finished, a Taiwanese host will feel terrible for not preparing enough food for their guests. If you are invited to a Taiwanese family for a meal, it is best not to finish everything on the table.
