If you have a choice, would you choose a traditional hotel with local traditional touches or would you choose a modern hotel with modern amenities?

I would prefer to stay in a traditional hotel with the local traditional touches. As much as I go to hotel resorts overseas to relax and recharge, I also want to absorb as much of the local culture as I can. I want to learn about other countries, their cultures, and traditions. Also, I find that my stays at traditional hotels are usually more fun! I can experience traditional cuisines, and they are usually very delicious. I can also experience more traditional activities in traditional hotels that can help me to learn about the culture. Lastly, I find that I can make friends with people who are more interested to explore the local customs, like myself, if I stay in a traditional hotel.
