▶ Characteristic/personality
Originally I was a music teacher, but really found my passion for ESL teaching while living in California. In addition to patience, I would say one of my biggest strengths as a teacher is that I genuinely love helping people, and that feeling allows students to feel more comfortable learning with me. As somebody who speaks multiple languages, I am very familiar with the language learning process and what it entails.

In my class, you can expect to enter a relaxed atmosphere where it’s okay to make mistakes and to learn from those mistakes moving forward. You should be able to tell me the thing you want most to improve on, and together we will make that goal a reality.

▶ Tutor’s experience
My patience and skills as a tutor come from the wide range of experiences that I draw from. My initial tutoring experience was in Peru where I was volunteering in a rural village helping local children of all ages learn how to converse in English. Most recently I was a preschool teacher in California with children ranging from ages two to five years old. This went in line with the Early Childhood Education major I was pursuing at the time. I myself enjoy learning languages and traveling. I know what it feels like to feel uncomfortable and out of your element, and it is in that feeling that we can truly begin to learn.
