My path to becoming a teacher started in 2006 when I volunteered at a rural primary school in Uganda. That experience inspired me to continue volunteering at projects around the world and motivated me to earn my Elementary Education degree from Western Governor’s University in Utah and complete my TESOL certification in Vietnam. Since then, I have continued to work and volunteer around the world. I have conducted thousands of classes with students of all ages and backgrounds and I excel at individualized instruction. I find it particularly joyful to develop fun and creative lesson plans that stick with students. Learning can be such a wonderful experience and this makes up the core of my teaching philosophy. I keep a student-first mindset and strive for a classroom environment that encourages positivity, curiosity, and compassion. Reading is my favourite pastime and I am often found with my nose in a book. I have traveled extensively as I love seeing new places, trying new foods, and learning new cultures. I treasure the connections I get to make with my students and can’t wait for us all to grow and learn together!
