My name is Marcella DeJong, and I’m thrilled to be your English teacher.
With over 7 years of experience in teaching, I bring a passion for learning, a wealth of patience, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping each of my students succeed.
I believe in creating a warm, supportive environment where my students feel comfortable expressing themselves and growing their language skills.
In our classes, I love to take what we’re learning and turn it into interactive activities or games, making each lesson enjoyable and memorable. I know that language learning can be challenging, so I listen attentively to my students, offering guidance and encouragement along the way.
Whether it's correcting grammar, helping with sentence structure, or working through reading challenges, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
My goal is to help you become more fluent and confident in both speaking and writing English.
I am a very positive and active teacher and am always excited to create a classroom where my students are happy, engaged, and ready to learn. I hope that when you step into my class, you’ll feel that you can come to me anytime for help.
I bring a global perspective to my teaching, having traveled to beautiful countries like Costa Rica, Panama, and Mexico, and I enjoy learning about the diverse cultures and traditions of my students. Currently, I teach Korean students online, and I know I’ll enjoy working with you in person just as much.
