▶ Characteristic/personality
My name is Jerome Tamayo, and I am an English tutor and lifelong lover of all languages! I have felt passionately about learning and teaching foreign languages since I was a child. It is precisely because I have such a burning interest in learning foreign languages that I believe that my strength as a tutor is understanding the many difficulties of learning a language different from one's own native one, and using this understanding to make my students' English learning journey easier.

I would like to extend a special greeting to our students at Starkindle. If I were to highlight a benefit of my personal teaching style, I would say that it is my flexibility and communicative nature. Every student is different and has different needs in terms of what they need to successfully learn. I encourage all of my students to be open in discussing their own difficulties so that we can work on them together. My goal as a tutor is to help my students develop confidence in their speaking skills.

▶ Tutor’s experience
I have one year of foreign language tutoring at a high school in the United States. In addition to this, I studied Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I was able to learn much about the fundamentals of language and learning, as well as modern optimal methods of teaching second languages.
