Steak and Kidney Pie

The steak and kidney pie is one of national dishes in England. It is a savory pie made with diced steak, onion, and kidney. It is cooked in a brown gravy and baked. Mushrooms and bacon are sometimes included, and ale can also be added to the gravy. This pie is a classic beloved by many English people. For some, however, the strong scent of kidney makes this pie an acquired taste.

A. I am okay with both. I enjoy sweet pies and often make my own apple, blueberry, and peach pies. At the same time, I also enjoy savory pies. My family has a recipe for savory chicken and green bean pie that has been passed down for generations. Green beans might not sound that appetizing in a pie, but it is actually quite delicious. I once had chicken pie for the main course and apple pie for dessert at a restaurant. Both are delicious to me.
