Day 21 - Where are you from?

Hello, everyone. Today, I am here to tell you about my country. I live in the beautiful land of South Korea. It may look small on the map, but it is the land of opportunities for everyone. Let me point out some wonderful things about my country.

Korea has four seasons. They are spring, summer, fall and winter. There aren’t many countries that have four seasons a year. In Korea, you can go on a picnic in spring, go swimming in summer, go hiking in fall and have a snow fight in winter. How cool is that? Korea has a variety of food you can enjoy. You can start with traditional food such as kimchi and bibimbap or you can also try food from other countries like spaghetti and sushi as well.

Korea welcomes everyone from other cultures, and freely accepts their customs. However, that doesn’t mean Korea doesn’t care about its own traditions. People celebrate traditional holidays like Chuseok, originally known as Hangawi which is a major harvest festival in Korea. Many Koreans visit their hometowns and share a feast of Korean traditional food. After all, a country is built on tradition.

I love learning about other countries and their cultures. You may find it crowded and busy in major cities like Seoul. There might be some places where they have a better environment and greater things to see than in Korea. However, I must say that there is no place like home, and my home is Korea. I am proud to be born and raised in Korea.
