Day 10 – Travel

I really enjoy traveling to different parts of the world. My goal is to visit every country on the globe at least once. I have gone abroad and visited over 15 countries so far. I am proud of the 15 immigration stamps from the 15 different countries. Whenever I see the souvenir magnets on the refrigerator, I think of the joy of travelling. The reasons why I enjoy traveling so much are because I really enjoy trying different foods and experiencing different cultures. The next country that I want to visit is Greece. I can’t wait to visit the beautiful beaches in Greece.

When I travel to a new country, I like to do some research beforehand and learn more about the culture and language. I think it is important to learn basic manners of a country before you go there, even if you are just going on vacation. The people of a country can tell if a foreigner has taken the time to learn about their country.

I think it is important to not treat every country like it is your home country. Especially in terms of safety. Some countries are safer than others. My home country of Sweden is rather safe, and we have a relatively low crime rate. But if I go to Brazil, then I can’t walk around alone like I would at home since it is more dangerous. As long as you are safe, there is no country off limits! Even just visiting two countries right next to each other, you can feel like you are stepping into a new world. When I do that, I get so excited. I always have a whale of a time hopping from country to country. What country do you want to visit?
