Day 7 – Dream

Denise, my highschool friend, has a dream. Her dream is to be a math teacher. She loves math, but she loves to teach it even more. She always helped me and our classmates with any math problems we had. Even though she was already in advanced math classes, she would take her time and help students that were in remedial lessons and needed to learn from the very beginning. She was great at explaining the situations and giving examples that everyone understood. Everyone said she was better than their actual math teacher.

She also has a lot of patience and passion. I remember that she got a reputation for being a math genius because she entered into a lot of contests and won. She also got straight A’s on all her papers.

We are in our final year of university and she is studying to be a teacher. Our university is famous for the teachers that graduate from here. All the best teachers in the country have gone to our school. So she sees it as a great honor to go here and is making a great effort to achieve her dreams. She even goes the extra mile and volunteers as a teachers assistant after classes, even though she doesn’t get paid.

Another famous part about our university is, the graduation test are the hardest. Even straight A students have failed the test and need to repeat another year inorder to take it again. Unfortunately, she failed the teacher’s exam last year and is trying to take it once again this year. I was so proud and impressed with her for being strong enough to overcome many dificulties that came with retaking the exam. I believe her dream is coming true and she will make a great math teacher.
