Adult life sounds very interesting. Adults have more freedom than children, but they also have jobs that they have to be responsible for. I still have 5 to 6 more years to officially become an adult, but I already have many things that I want to do when I grow up. When I was young and still wet behind the ears, I did not want to grow up quickly. I understand that it takes a lot of responsibility to become an adult. You need to work hard to support either yourself or your family, and you have to be in charge of what you say and how you act. Sometimes I see my parents getting stressed because they have to deal with their finances. They also seem very busy working, and taking care of me, my younger sister, and the whole house. When I see them struggling from stress, I feel that adult life is not a walk in the park, and the thought of becoming an adult looms over me.
However, I don’t think adult life can be as disastrous as I imagined before now. I have a cousin who just graduated from college, and she seems to be enjoying her adult life very much. She now works at a bank, and she told me that her work can be stressful sometimes, but it can also be a very rewarding experience. She also makes a good salary, so she can buy anything she wants!
But, that’s not it! She doesn’t have to study for any tests, she doesn’t have a curfew on weekdays, and she can do whatever she wants! When I become an adult, I will travel around my country every week, and do some extreme sports. I am not allowed to learn them now because my parents think they are too dangerous at my age. I will also eat as much ice cream as I want and play computer games on weekdays.
There might be some time when I want to go back to my childhood, but I have seen my parents dealing with their problems wisely. I think I can also do a good job when I become an adult.
