Joey's uncle got Joey a new dog for his 11th birthday. Joey was so excited to have a pet, and he named the dog Barky. Barky is a very smart and gentle dog. He listens and obeys Joey's commands. He never threatens anybody on the street when Joey takes him for a walk. Barky is so friendly that everybody absolutely adores him.
One day Joey's father suggested sending Barky to a dog school. Joey's father thinks Barky is very special. Joey did not want to send Barky away. However, he knew how special Barky was. So he decided to train Barky on his own.
After the training, Barky became a visiting dog. He has his own badge. Now Barky visits children's hospitals, nursing homes and many other places that need him. He has proved that he is a great companion for people. Joey is very proud of Barky.
