Max got up early in the morning. He was so excited because his class was going to the zoo today. He loves animals but he has never gone to the zoo before.
When he arrived at the zoo, he didn’t know where to go first. There were animals everywhere! For the first few hours, he was so busy watching animals. However, after lunch, he realized something about the animals. They didn’t look very happy, and they seemed exhausted.
Max realized something was wrong. They animals powerlessly responded to their trainers and did what their trainers told them. They seemed stressed out. Some kids were yelling and hitting the windows violently, and a few boys even threw sticks at them. All of a sudden, Max felt sorry for the animals. On his way home, he asked himself whether it was right to keep animals in the zoo.
