Lingonberry Jam

Lingonberries are famous mountain cranberries in Sweden. The Swedish people have been producing and eating the lingonberry jam for a very long time ago. Lingonberry jam is a perfect match for Swedish dishes, such as meatballs and potato cakes. Raw lingonberries are sour. Mixing the lingonberries with sugar creates a sweet and sour jam. Apples and red currants are used to make the jam slightly sweeter. It goes very well with many dishes. Blueberry and cloudberry jams are quite popular in Sweden too. Blueberry and cloudberry jams are often eaten with desserts. All these traditional jams make delicious souvenirs from Sweden.
