America is a nation that is built on the foundation of freedom. Generations of individuals fought for the freedom that so many Americans enjoy today. Of the many countries in the world, America is the first to establish its foundation of freedom in its Declaration of Independence. In the Declaration of Independence of the United States, the rights of its citizens to “…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” is clearly stated. This means that every citizen of America has the right to be who they are and pursue what they want in life. This foundation can still be clearly seen today in the rights of individuals and groups that Americans stand up for.

Discussion Question
Q1
Do you have much freedom as you want in your country?
Q2
Why do you think America is so well known for its freedom?
A.
I think America is so well known for its freedom because it was one of the first countries to advocate freedom and include it in its Declaration of Freedom. In addition, America has been very obvious with its belief of freedom, not only for its own citizens but also for people in other countries in the world. Right or wrong, America is known for often standing up and fighting for people in other countries when the rights of the people were trampled on by the governments.
