In England, tailgating is considered a criminaloffence. Tailgating happens when a vehicle follows another vehicle too closely. It is dangerous because there is no room to avoid a crash if the vehicle in front stops suddenly. In London, drivers are also fined if they stop their vehicles in the box junction at intersections. Patience is required to drive in London.
Is traffic a serious problem in your city? What do you do when you are stuck in a traffic jam?
I am from Seoul, South Korea. Serious traffic jams are very common and happen many times a day in Seoul. It is especially bad during rush hours. Once, I was stuck in the middle of a bridge with no way to turn around, and it took me almost 30 minutes just to cross the bridge. The best way to avoid a traffic jam is to avoid driving during the rush hours. If it’s unavoidable and I am stuck in a jam, I usually turn up the volume and sing along to my favorite playlist.
