Fika means a coffee and cake break in Sweden. Fika is a very important part of Swedish culture. The Swedish have fika break twice every day to enjoy coffee and cake while they catch up with each other. Many Swedish people make time for fika every day. This is how they make time for friends and colleagues, by sharing a cup of coffee, tea, and something to eat. The Swedish normally have cinnamon rolls during fika. However, people can have anything that they want with coffee. Fika cannot be experienced alone because the main reason to have it is to connect with people. It is considered rude not to participate in fika in many Swedish companies.
