Day 3 - Do’s and Don’ts

Level 4

Do Pay Attention to Personal Space

  • 맛집영어 영어수강 영어교재 이미지
  • Personal space is very important to people in Sweden. Visitors to Sweden should be aware of this and respect the personal space of others. An arm’s length is about the right distance for respecting the personal space of people in Sweden. If there are other seats available, visitors should not sit next to somebody. It is also important to avoid touching others when speaking. After a handshake at the beginning of a meeting, it is best to avoid any casual touching. Swedish people also use few gestures when they speak. Visitors should avoid using big body movements when speaking.
