Public Transportation

Hi! I am Laura and I love the public transportation! For the last few months, I have been taking a public bus to school and many other places! At first, I was very opposed to the idea of public transportation, but I learned that it can help me save money and take me anywhere I want to go! The first time I rode the bus, I was a bit nervous. I got on the bus with a bus pass. The driver checked the pass and asked me to take a seat. I looked around and sat at a window seat next to an elderly woman. During the ride, I noticed that the bus was filled with different kinds of people. There were elder citizens with grocery baskets, middle aged men and women in business suits reading the newspaper, and other kids who went to the same school as I do. The bus ride was very smooth, with just the sound of the engine and the quiet chatter of the passengers. I got off the bus with the other kids when we reached our school. It was the end of my first public bus ride and it was not hard at all! Public transportation is easy to use and very affordable. It also reduces traffic! This means less air pollution!
