Safety Tips While Traveling

1. Be smart with your money
It is not a good idea to carry huge amounts of cash. Instead, open an account with an international bank so that you can use the ATMs while overseas. If you have to withdraw large amounts of cash at once, leave it in your hotel and carry only what you need for the day. Never keep all of your money in one place. Keep cash in two or three different places.

2. Keep digital copies of important documents
When traveling, your passport may be the most important thing you carry. In case your passport gets stolen, get a digital copy before your trip. It will help you to get a new passport easier.

3. Check in with friends and family often
Before you leave, let someone know about your trip and update them frequently. Check in with a close friend or family member when you get back to the hotel at the end of each day. If something happens, you can get help faster if someone knows where you are on any given day.
