Canceling the Appointment
My friend Harvey and I made plans to meet each other for lunch today. We planned to meet outside at 12pm. I waited for him about an hour but he never showed up. I tried calling him many times but he didn’t pick up. I had to skip lunch and come back to work. He finally called me back after two hours to cancel our plans. He said that he came down with a flu and forgot about our appointment. We rescheduled to have lunch next week. I felt bad about him but I was annoyed. Because I squeezed in a quick lunch with him.

내 친구 하비와 난 오늘 점심을 같이 먹기로 했다. 12시에 밖에서 만나기로 했다. 한시간정도 기다렸는데도 나타나지 않았다. 여러 번 전화도 했지만 받지를 않았다. 그래서 결국 점심도 못 먹고 사무실에 돌아와야만 했다. 마침내 하비가 2시간쯤 지나서야 전화 와서는 약속을 취소하자고 했다. 독감에 걸려 약속을 잊었다고 한다. 우리는 다음주에나 같이 점심을 먹기로 했다. 안됐 긴하지만 그래도 좀 짜증이 난다. 왜냐하면 바쁜 일정 중에 겨우 짬을 내서 그와 점심을 먹으려 했기 때문이다.
