Whenever I see the news these days, I see a lot of crime. Many people are too scared to leave the house because of this. As a single woman, I don’t feel safe whenever I go out alone. A few days ago, I had to work late and came home at almost midnight. It felt as if someone was following me the whole way home. I started to run and made it home. After that, I decided to ask my boyfriend to take me home or buy some kind of self-defense product. Korea is a very safe country compared to other countries, but I would like to live in a world without crime.

뉴스를 볼때마다, 범죄에 관한 기사로 가득 차 있다. 많은 사람들이 너무 두려워 외출하기를 꺼려한다. 혼자사는 여자로써 나도 외출하는 것이 안전하게 느껴지지 않는다. 몇일전엔 야근 후 거의 자정이 되어서야 집에 갔다. 그런데 누군가가 따라오는 것만 같아서 뛰어서 간신히 집에 갔다. 앞으론 남자친구에게 집에 데려 다 주라고 부탁하거나 호신용품을 구입 해야겠다. 한국은 다른 나라들에 비하면 안전하다고는 하지만 그래도 범죄 없는 세상에서 살고 싶다.
