Big Ben is the name given to the big bell inside the Elizabeth Tower at Westminster. This clock tower is one of London’s most famous landmarks and looks amazing at night when the clock lights up. The clock tower chimes every hour and has rarely stopped. After a bomb destroyed parts of Westminster during the Second World War, the clock tower survived and Big Ben continued to chime the hours. Big Ben is currently closed for renovation for three years, from August 2017.

빅벤은 웨스트민스터에 있는 엘리자베스 타워 안에 있는 큰 종에 붙여진 이름이다. 이 시계탑은 런던의 가장 유명한 랜드마크 중 하나이고 시계가 켜지는 밤에는 놀랍도록 멋지다. 시계탑은 매시간 울리고 좀처럼 멈추지 않는다.
2차 세계대전 동안 폭탄으로 인해 웨스트민스터의 일부가 파괴되었고, 시계탑은 살아남았고 빅벤은 계속해서 차임벨 소리로 시간을 알렸다. 빅벤은 현재 2017년 8월부터 3년간 보수 공사를 위해 문을 닫았다.

Q. Big Ben is a must-see tourist attraction in England. If you have already been, would you visit it again?

A. I have been to Big Ben but I am not sure that I would go again. There are other tourist attractions that I would like to visit. If I have another chance to go to England, I would like to be part of the audience at soccer matches, especially matches with Tottenham Hotspur. I am a big fan of Heung-min Son, a South Korean footballer who plays as a forward for Tottenham Hotspur. I have recently added watching Heung-min Son play on my bucket list.
