Canada is one of the most popular countries for immigrants. It has been a land of immigrants since the first European colonizers in the 16th century. Canada's annual immigrants are one of the highest in the world. Immigrants with permanent residency in Canada make up about 21.5% of the total population. Even though Canada has a long history with immigrants, 40 percent of Canadians feel that the numbers should be lower, while 39 percent are okay with the current numbers.

Why do you think Canada is such a popular country for immigrants?

- I do not know for sure but I will guess that it has to do with the people and the healthcare system. Canadians are known to be very friendly people. On top of that, Canada also has one of the best healthcare systems in the world. Every citizen has access to healthcare. In addition, Canada also has some of the most beautiful nature in the world. But I also know that many people are on the fence when it comes to deciding on America or Canada to migrate to, because both countries are so similar.
