Q.
Have you ever had difficulty finding public bathrooms on vacation?
A.
Yes, I have. I took a road trip once when I was studying in the United States. It was my first time driving outside the state where I was staying. On the highway, I tried looking for a rest area but I couldn't find one for four hours! It was only after I stopped at a gas station that I found out that there were no rest areas at the highways in the States. Instead, there are gas stations that everyone stopped at if they needed gas, snacks, the bathroom, or just a break. This was very different to where I come from. In South Korea, there are frequent big rest areas off the highways for people to take a break, have some food, and use the bathroom. These rest areas are sometimes a destination in themselves because they can be very large with many selections of food, and they are often accompanied by large signs at the highway to let people know where they are.
