Face Mask Capital of Asia

Taiwan is called the 'face mask capital of Asia' because the Taiwanese often wore face masks even before the COVID-19 pandemic. They wear masks to protect themselves from illness, to inform others of their illness, or to protect their skin from the sun. Even broadcasters will wear face masks while they are on the air. The Taiwanese say masks keep their faces warm in the winter and offer a sense of protection from air pollution, including airborne germs.

대만은 COVID-19가 발생하기 전에도 종종 마스크를 착용했기 때문에 '아시아의 마스크 수도'로 불린다. 그들은 자신을 질병으로부터 보호하거나, 다른 이들에게 자신의 병을 알리거나, 햇빛으로부터 피부를 보호하기 위해 마스크를 착용한다.
