Spirited Away(센과 치히로의 행방불명)

The fantasy-like quality of the Jiufen Old Street in Taiwan may be the reason why director Hayao Mizayaki was inspired to make the movie Spirited Away there. Spirited Away is a Japanese animated fantasy movie. It was released in 2001 and won the Oscar for “Best Animated Film” in 2003. Jiufen Old Street is a beautiful place and almost always jam-packed with people. Among its narrow alleyways and crowds, majestic red lanterns, and colorful shops, one can get the Jiufen vibe in Spirited Away. This narrow alley is full of foodstalls, tea houses, souvenir shops, and pottery stores.
