Taiwan is a place that offers cyclists a variety of exciting landscapes and touring experiences, from casual to the extreme. The trails along the coasts offer ideal cycling experiences. One of the best trails for cycling is the Taipei River Park and Tam Shui. Located near Taipei, this bike path runs through green bushlands where wildlife grows. It is a beautiful park with colorful bridges. The cost is around TWD500 per day to rent a bike at rental shops near train stations and bus terminals.

explore
by bike?

A. I myself like to explore by bike. I think bike touring allows people to experience new places intimately. I think travel is about being in a place, not just passing through it. Bike touring is a way to engage with a new land and culture. It cannot be done if a person is sitting behind the windshield or train window. It also wakes up your senses. You can smell the roses, listen to the wind through the trees, and feel the ups and downs of the ground beneath you.
